Today a daily inspiration via the Leica M9 and a Zeiss 35 from Mattia Zaldini! Thanks for the great image!
“Hi Steve, how are you? This Time I would send you a new kind of photo. I take this Picture last sunday Near Verona (my town). I have used my Leica M9 and Zeiss 35.
It was a sunny day. One of the first sunny day after a long, too long, winter. There was a little breeze but the temperature was extremely pleasant. The people get off their houses. They were playing, running, walking and two of them simply were sitting to watching the infinity. This particular has taken my attention and I have decided to try to transmit all the message above. Then I have used Apple Aperture 3 to post producing the shoot.
Sorry for my bad english…and if I make any mistake. Hoping you like it let me say again, many compliments for your site. Reading it I have found many advices, for example I have decided to attend a Overgaard Extension Photography Course.
Best regards. Mattia Zaldini”
Thank you Steve for posting my photograph.
@ Joseph: Thanks a lot, The foggy foreground is due to post processing. In Aperture 3 set up brush in Blur mode and apply a little bit of it on the photo.
@Pascal: It is my favourite book too! 🙂 I’m really glad you like the photo.
Thank you all for the comments.

I have read in “Photography for dummies” that it’s not good to put the subject in the center of the image, so, as it is my favorite book, I have to say that this picture is a bad one.

Ok, stupid french humour, questa foto mi piace moltissssssssssssssssssimo !
Realistic yet mystical at the same time.
Mattia,
A great photograph like yours does not require any words English or otherwise. The photo is so, so peaceful. Is the foggy almost dreamy forground do to post processing? Thank you for sharing.

Fantastic shot – has a real narrative about it.
What a wonderful image. Love the way it pulls you in. Great work with the contrast too.
