More from the Voigtlander 10mm f/5.6!

by Bob Israel

I was going to submit these before I saw the recent post on your site and figured, what the heck, here’s a few more. I love this lens. Sharp, beautiful rendering. Essentially a point and shoot lens at f/8. No corner smearing!

Put this on a cropped sensor like the A6300 (which I have) and you have a marvelous 15mm equivalent!

  1. Really cool pics (as well as your other post)! I like a lot wide angles and fish eyes, I have an APS-C Samyang fish eye. I wonder how this Voigtlander compares to the Samyang 12mm.

  2. Wow I really don’t like anything wider than 35mm these are great shots thanks for the sharing these dammit I might have too buy one

  3. I never used to think of myself as a super-wide-angle person but since I got the Sony 16-35 I’m finding myself using it at 16mm surprisingly often and really enjoying the results.
I’m really enjoying the photos I’m seeing from this 10mm, it’s really making me think. Looks great on an A7 too.

Oh and great work on these photos, I love the stadium one particularly!

  4. That shot of Target Field is awesome. This would make a great lens to shoot wide shots inside an arena.

  5. great use of this lens, Bob!
but for APS-C there is the Sony 10-18mm too. I had one and it was very good for the money.

and great B/W processing, the #3 is my favorite.

    • I haven’t used the 10-18mm but the CV10 is simply wonderful. I also have the CV15/4.5 III in a Leica M mount. I love that lens as well. B&W for number three was done with Silver Efex Pro.

      Thanks!

      Bob
