Sony A7II with Mitakon 50 0.95
by Przemek
Hi Steve
My name is Przemek Przezak and I’m an amateur photographer based in Switzerland (but originally from Poland). In the attachment you will find a few pictures I shot this Christmas at the Cauma lake in the Canton of Graubünden, Switzerland. On December 26th me and my girlfriend went for a walk to the lake, not far from where we were staying. Because the winter is very warm this year, even here in the alps, we were pleasantly surprised to find the lake frozen and the surroundings covered in a thin layer of snow. What an eerie place!
Anyway, I thought this was the perfect time and place to try out my Christmas presents (and I do have to thank you for at least some part of it, as your reviews played a significant role when I chose my new gear) – Sony a7II with the Mitakon 50mm f0.95. Also, here is the link to my facebook portfolio: www.facebook.com/digofoto
Best regards and happy new year!

Beautiful !
Did you tweak the colors in post, or is it the lens? The colors look funny.
Nice images. I personally would have preferred the subject to be in portrait with her feet visible on the ice. There would be a nice vertical of her and the vertical trees in the back ground.
Nevertheless cool images of an icy and wintery scene.
I love the contrast between the colour of the female and the bleak wintery scene in the background. Great set.
Lovely images and treatment. Very old school film look to them.
For me, I loved this 50 and the 50 sonnar zm. In the end I went for sonnar for the size and more 3d rendering, presence of refractive coating, etc.
I was sad to let it go.
Nice looking girlfriend
I love these images. Thanks for sharing.

Ive had this theory lately, that either a lens should be flawless, or have lots of character, either one makes for pleasing pictures, something for the eye to be caught by. This lens falls in to the latter, and I love it, beautiful, moody, and focusing my eyes all around the frame, especially to the subject matter. Wonderful
