Gorgeous Sony RX100 MK IV video
by Baris Parildar
Just saw this video that a user posted to my Facebook page.. He used the Sony RX100 MKIV for this entire video and it looks gorgeous. Shows the quality that can fit in your pocket these days! My RX100 IV review is HERE if you missed it, but check out Baris’s video below!
“We recently made a road trip from LA to Portland. I just wanted to see what I could create with my Sony RX100m4 and DJI Phantom 3 Standard along the way. I was mostly concentrated on photography and doing some behind the scenes type of videography on the side.
I was checking the footage today and thought it might be a good idea to make a short clip. So here we go…
I hope you like it!”
Gorgeous video.
Was the RX100 mounted to the Phantom 3? I’d like to do the same thing with my P3 (and I’d like to leave the P3’s camera in place for FPV and telemetry), and am searching for a way to do it.
Anyway, Baris, can you say how you did it? Thanks…
The slow motion capabilities of this camera are very cool. I have the RX100 III and don’t feel compelled to upgrade it, but the IV is certainly nice.
I would also love to see this sort of video capabilities in the Olympus OMD’s someday.
Amazing… I love Oregon. I just moved to Seattle and have fallen head over heels in love with the Pacific Northwest.
superb! several years ago, this would have required a very expensive pro equipment to do
The RX100 is a great camera, but don’t forget this is a very small image so most cameras would look good at this scale. What’s impressive is the photographers eye.
Indeed. When I expand it to fill the screen on my 27″ iMac, the image quality doesn’t look so great, and far below the quality of the video from the A7R II promotion.
The video must be seen directly on Vimeo if you want to judge the quality: https://vimeo.com/144098952 . The embedded video is not in HD mode and the way it’s embedded don’t let you change the resolution to HD.
Very impressive! I assume there was a drone involved?
I assume you don’t read
Wow!
Beautiful!!! Like a dream!
This is an EPIC footage. Can’t believe this was shot with RX100IV. Such an amazing capabilities in a small package!
Nice work, love the drone/land mix.
Excellent video. Love the Pacific Northwest.
