OK guys, here is the deal some of you have been waiting for. The Fuji X-Pro 1 with the Fuji 35 1.4 and 27mm f/2.8 Lenses for only $949.85. THIS IS A crazy deal if you have been wanting a nice Fuji body. The X-Pro 1 is loved by many, used by many and has proven itself in the field, studio and in the world.
B&H Photo has this deal NOW, and is shipping NOW. To see the deal take a look HERE at the deal page on B&H Photo.
Who says outdated? I know a professional making much of his living with America X2 and I use s Leica M-E (2009 technology) as my main camera.
All cameras these days are far better than most of us photographers are. If I was interested in Fuji I would jump on this, just the lenses are worth the price.
Fuji is not Leica. Buying Fuji you do not buy Leica. Also, this is a cropped sensor vs full sensor. This is like comparing apples to oranges.
How come the lenses are worth it, if they sell them in such a cheap price? So they have been overpriced all along? You cannot use them in any other camera other than Fuji. This is what you can call baggage.
For the same money you can buy a used M3 and a Voiglandter. More likely you will not loose a penny as the time goes by. After a few years this Fuji offer will be worth counted pennies.
All digital lenses don’t play nice on non OEM bodies. I see plenty of M mount to mirrorless adapters, but not so many T mount ones 😉 No one is comparing this camera to a Leica IN THESE COMMENTS, the lenses in this deal will fit every other X mount camera that Fuji make. The X-Pro1 came out in March 2012, of course it will be discounted 3.5 years later. Jeez in the UK last Christmas Leica was offering £500 off the price of the M… Olympus discounted the M5 and threw in a free prime and batt grip. The Sony A6000 is already discounted, and the replacement is not here yet. The original Sony A7 is about £600 cheaper than it was less than 2 years ago. Camera makers discount cameras. It’s what happens.
Buy the camera you want at a price you’re happy with.
For anyone wanting a X-Pro1 this is a great deal.
Leica Friend: you slam someone for comparing cropped sensor to full frame and then you suggest they buy an film camera (M3)? Talking about comparing apples to oranges!
It seems that this is a great devaluation to make an attraction to sell this obsolete camera. Also, can these lenses get used to any other camera? It seems that this is a total waste of money. It is such a closed system.

Decoded that means “it’s not a leica”
Buy the two lens kit and sell either lens back to KEH and it’s cheaper than the one lens combo by at least $100. Xpro-1 w/ 35mm 1.4 for $700 new, it’s a steal!
I really hope there is an X-Pro2 coming soon. Their optical/evf solution is miles better then anyone else. Fuji also seem to better understand that a small camera system should have small/light lenses to go with it….
I have the XP1 with the 35mm and other Fuji lenses and this is an awesome camera and a great deal , especially if you’re interested in Fuji. I used this system on a vacation trip to Alaska last year and took lovely images. The images from this camera never ceases to amaze me. However this can be said of any camera in the right hands as may be proven by many of the Posters and Steve in this forum.
Thanks for sharing Steve. Your reviews, help and forum have been invaluable to me over the years.

Howard
Guess this means an X-Pro 2 is about to be released.
Since two lenses are included in this price, I have to wonder if the X-Pro line is being discontinued.
X-pro 2 likely won’t be released til 2016, but it is definitely not being discontinued. If you’re at all interested in the Fuji line then this is the time. I had an x pro 1 for two years and I loved it, especially after the new firmware updates. It’s no speed demon, but it takes beautiful images. Especially for that price!
Steve, Would you be kind enough and post the steps (camera settings) necessary to use my Minolta
MC Rokkor-PG f58mm 1.2 lens on Sony a7Rii? I have the adapter to fit the lens but still waiting on the camera. Will the image stabilization in the camera work with this lens? Will the Auto ISO select the proper exposure when I set the f-stop on the lens and shutter speed in the camera? Any other helpful pointers would also be appreciated.
Thanks
Wally
Wally just get an adapter and throw it on there mate. It’ll work fine. Auto ISO will work perfectly, as will IBIS.
just slapping the lens&adapter will work fine. you can also go into the settings and add the lens profile, which will help with exposure. stabilization will work just fine as well- for what it’s worth- that will be a magical combination, as that lens is VERY nice… have fun!
