Hi Steve, first of all I would like to apologise for my awful English.
I started following you more than a year ago, I was on the way to buy my M9 when I found your web. Inmediatly, it turned into a reference site for interesting Leica info, very different from the tons of tech. specs. sites: real words for the real world.
A few months later, I received my M9, but I was so busy that I almost gave up following you. Then, I read about your first Seal´s concert with an M9. I was seriously impressed with most of the pics and since then I´ve been enjoying a lot with each post.
The coverage of Seal´s tour made me feel as if I had been in almost all the concerts. The photos: some of the best music pics. I´ve seen ever. The documentary character of the series is what made them so special for me, of course, also the IQ give them this wonderful taste, your feeling with Seal and the band it´s so obvious in each one…(and so important), the Noctilux, the classic concert shots (that are extremely powerful)…definitely, an AMAZING project. I supposed it should have been for Seal and the band if he decided offer you being his photographer for the rest of his career. I´m glad of reading that because we´ll continue enjoying with your music pics.
At that time, I started thinking on write you asking for a full Seal´s tour gallery and yesterday you did it!. Congratulations for the new galleries!. I specially liked Seal and rural landscape ones.
The image I´m sending you is the very first portrait I took with the M9. The man in the pic is my grandfather, and long time before I received the camera I decided, he was going the first person I was going to portray with it. He is very important for me and since the beginning, he had always supported me on my way to professional photography. Portraits are a big part of my comercial photography and when I saw the IQ of the pic I was very impressed. Currently, I´m working on my first long term project fully shot with the M9 and I´m feeling very confortable with the superp camera results.
